Peace Officer Physical Ability Test

The Police Officer Physical Abilities Test (POPAT) evaluates and gauges an officer's aptitude in handling critical situations, apprehending suspects, and managing prisoners effectively. Successful completion of this test demonstrates that the applicant meets the minimum Saskatchewan and Manitoba.  By undertaking various fundamental physical tasks that mirror the demands of the real world, the POPAT assesses an individual's physical strength, muscular endurance, coordination, and agility, all of which are essential skills for a law enforcement career.
